Whitney Houston has passed away

 The singer Whitney Houston died Saturday at the age of 48 years. The artist was found lifeless in his room at a hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

His death was confirmed Saturday evening by a spokesman for the Beverly Hills police, Mark Rosen.

Emergency services were alerted by a call placed to 15 h 33 Pacific time (18 h 33 hours of Quebec). According to Lieutenant Rosen, his death was found a few minutes later, at 15 h 55, after the resuscitation had been performed.
